I fucking love DAVE GROHL
Below is Mr. Grohl’s keynote speech at this year’s SXSW festival. It’s full of badassified thoughts and motivation. Watch it! Watch it, NOW!
XOXO,

I found this quote floating around on the interweb and it made me smile….
Okay, so the quote is waaaay outta touch with modern science but I still like it! I’ve BEEn interested in the wee BUZZards since I found out how unbelievably skilled and efficient they were in geometry. (I dig math, okay?!)
FACTS TO GET YOUR HEAD BUZZING ‘BOUT BEES…
~Bees do not see the color red but they can see ultraviolet colors
~~A queen bee chooses the sex of her offspring
~~~Honey bees are not born to make honey: they are taught by their elders
~~~~Been around for 30 million years
~~~~~A honeycomb is made of hexagonal cells with walls that are only 2/1000 inch thick, but support 25 times their own weight
~~~~~~Bees pollinate an average of 15 billion dollars in crops every year
~~~~~~~Bees dance to communicate
~~~~~~~~Bees are super-smart at math and can calculate angles
~~~~~~~~~The hexagonal honeycomb shape is a reflection of this ability, as it is the most efficient use of space for them to store food
~~~~~~~~~~Honey is the only food made by insects that is eaten by man
~~~~~~~~~~~Honey has everything in it to sustain life, with an added antioxidant that promotes brain functioning
~~~~~~~~~~~~Human brains have trillions of glial “glue” cells that form a honeycomb pattern that nourishes and protects neurons
I stayed up way too late the other night watching The Code on the Science Channel. For some reason my brain gets hungry for information late at night. I started watching The Code and was blown away (ha!) by the bubble artist and his explanation of the conservation of space that bubbles inherently possess. Check out the video, even if you’re not a number or shape freak, the bubble formations are incredible to watch!

I was five when this song was made in 1985… My mom was a teacher and bought the record to play for her class when discussing the famine in Ethopia during the 80′s.
I used to play it over and over again and pretend I was there in the studio. Cyndi Lauper’s part was my absolute favorite!
I believe the message stands as strong, if not stronger today. It must start at the core of our own reality, though. We must overcome our difference or indifference in our small corners of the world to make change. World Hunger did not end then, nor will not end today but…
WE CAN MAKE TODAY A BRIGHTER DAY: YOU AND ME!
Love to ALL,
Abby Rae
I just started reading this book and find it fascinating. I was raised Catholic but learned to despise the dogma of conformed religion. Please do not get me wrong, I have an imense gratitude of my upbringing but my spirit always guided me to know and learn more. Florence Scovel Shinn uses words of the Spripture in the way I feel and believe them to have been used. The ebook is available for free distribution~ Why? because it was written in the 20′s! ! and copyright law alows it
I hope you enjoy it and pass it along!
I posted the link to LEO, cuz, well, that’s ME!!! It is so easy to click on and read up on YOU, though! Check out your MARS OPPORTUNITY in the Monthly Horoscope link under your Sun sign and get a more in-depth, accurate insight by using your Rising Sign!!

I highly recommend watching this documentary. I’m a bit at a loss for words because I literally just finished watching it on HBO. I am in a state of deep gratitude for all God has given me in my life.

I found this chart from the Bureau of Labor Statistics on randirhodes.com and felt it was worth sharing. I do not feel I can change anyone’s political views, nor to I intend to but believe the chart is worth sharing. I wish more individuals were more concerned and accurately informed about their local, state and national leaders. I also firmly believe that WE ARE THE PEOPLE and that THE PEOPLE’S diverse opinions (as long as they are informed) matter~
UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL (fail).

Oh, I love sweet summer days! Summertime has always been a favorite time of year for me. When I was younger, it represented mommy-and-me time
My mom was (still is) a teacher and her summers were mostly free, which meant we could plan all sorts of fun-time adventures and have lazy afternoons catching up on All My Children! Oh, I how could I forget my BIRTHDAY smack dab in the middle of Summer, too and so is my baby girl’s!~WHOOO HOOO!!!
This summer was SUPER FUN for me and my kiddo~ not quite as much for my husband, who worked a ton in the sweltering heat! He and my lil sugarplum did get a bit of fishing in down at our pond, so he didn’t complain too much.
My favs of this Summer were going to the Saint Louis Zoo and Science Center in July for baby girl’s birthday and going to Fairmount Park (Horse Racing!) in Illinois for my own birthday. I won on the last race and pocketed $75. My pops, however, knows his way around a track with all the stats and mumbo jumbo. He did over 10X better than I did and we went on a shopping spree afterwards. We brought home a hermit crab and lots of new clothes….HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME
Check out my pics of the ZOO!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the monkeys and lions!!
Peace, Love and HAPPY SUMMERS to YOU!
